Built in the early 1930s, Battersea Power Station is a former coal-fired power station located on the south bank of the River Thames, in Nine Elms, Battersea. This iconic Grade II* listed building had suffered from years of combined neglect since following first the decommissioning of the ‘A’ station in 1975 and then in 1983, the B station was also closed. Since that time and failed attempts the site is now finally coming back to life with restaurants, shops, parks and cultural spaces.
During the restoration large areas of newly installed basalt flooring required residual mortar residues to be removed without damage to either the floor or surrounding surfaces, and ConClear was used as the ideal cleaning material to achieve a pristine finish.
